.:Churros:.

peace be upon u & hello

i'm still trying to adjust life as mom to standard 1 kid. super pengsan+penat. tapi satu je, puas hati tengok anak habiskan her lunch box though she still belanja. i guess most of the kids memang macam tu kot, excited nak spend their own duit saku.

well, put that aside. actually ada 2 benda yang i dah lama sangat-sangat nak buat...churros & cannoli. dah lama simpan recipe churros ni buat asek la tertangguh. actually churros almost like choux pastry recipe. the only different is, we fry the batter instead of bake.

paling best makan, panas-panas lepas fry. confirm u guys will put on weight!

Bahan-bahan:
1 cup water
1 cup tepung
113gm butter
1tsp vanilla essence
2 large eggs (i use double A)
1/4 tsp salt

Cara-cara:
1. campurkan garam dgn tepung & mix well. then put aside
2. bring water & butter to boil. then add in tepung+garam. kacau rata-rata sampai adunan jadi bebola besar, lebih kurang 1min. make sure api di dapur sederhana.
3. sementara tu, panaskan kuali+minyak. we need to use lots of minyak sebab deep fry. i tak galakkan guna machine deep fryer sebab nanti susah nak turn over churros.
4. masukkan adunan dalam pastry bag & use nozzle wilton 1M. picitkan adunan ke dalam minyak. kira-kira panjang sejengkal, potong dengan gunting. ulang perkara yang sama but jangan la sampai penuh kuali tu kan. make sure ada space sikit. and the most important thing, minyak kena panas!
5. goreng sampai golden brown, angkat & drain on the paper towels. u can eat with choc ganache or just sprinkle mixture of brown sugar+cinnamon. serious sedap makan panas-panas!


and owh yes, this churros sesuai untuk dessert table too, if u guys ada choc fountain la =)
